The story of Guará begins with an insight from the founder, Bruna, who is passionate about fashion, beach and travel.
Always immersed in her passions, she noticed that many foreigners praised her beachwear style on her trips. In one situation, in Europe, a person asked to borrow a crochet bikini to take the pattern and make it.
Due to having always had a great desire to undertake, after being frustrated in her work in the corporate world, she decided that would do what she always wanted to do, and nothing could be more natural than working with her great passions: fashion, beach and trip.
In addition to understanding that Brazilian beachwear is very beautiful, harmonious and valued outside of Brazil, as a São Paulo native who always travels to the Costa Verde beaches (which is 350 km from the city of São Paulo where she lives), she realized that this region has a unique and splendid natural beauty, which is also highly esteemed by many foreigners.
So she had the idea of connecting beach fashion with the atmosphere and forms of Costa Verde to sell Brazilian beauty to the world. Guará's goal is to sell its bikinis and clothing in Europe, but this will be a long process. This is just the beginning of a story, which has a lot of work and a long way to go, something natural in our lives…
In addition to bringing its vision of beauty to Brazilian beachwear, with many crochet clothes, Guará is based on respectful and healthy relationships with its customers. We know that relationships are made up of people with unique personal stories, which we respect and hope to be respected for our story too. We want to connect with you, we would love to know what you think of our cothes and bikinis and what you would like to see in our store.
The name Guará, which means “red” in Tupi-Guarani, came from the desire to use an indigenous name in the store, as we have Tupi-Guaraní blood, and there is nothing more beautiful on the beach than the reddish sunset.
